About me

For as long as I can remember, I have felt the urge to work as an independent business owner and to create something for myself. Now I can finally say that I am working full-time as a freelancer in the linguistic field.

I specialize in marketing and PR and provide services in translation, subtitling, and transcriptions.

I got a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and PR management in 2013 from Markedshøyskolen (Now Campus Kristiania). Since then, I have worked in retail, sales, and with brand campaigns for many years.

My story

In early 2022, I came across a free webinar via a Facebook ad. Learn How to Become a Freelance Translator. I registered, and I was intrigued. They shared a lot of valuable information, and I felt like this could be the thing I could build up a business in. I enrolled in a free course, and before that was completed, I began to set up my CV, and Proz profile and reflected on how to market myself in this business.
When I decided to go through a complete paid course for even more valuable input I managed to get my first clients that I am still working with to this day.

Things were going smoothly, and in late summer 2023, I had to make a decision. Should I keep on being employed somewhere and only have this as an extra income, or should I take the plunge and do this full-time?
I took a chance as I had the opportunity to work on a project that would be a full-time engagement, and I have not looked back since.
